Thirty years in marketing, Mark has come from a branding background working with some major UK and International brands helping them to develop the strength within their brand, and ultimately the profits on their bottom line. Mark heads up consultancy, creative and strategic development. Mark is also a graphic designer and content writer, although graphic design is now taking very much a back step role to allow Mark time to work with clients on their marketing strategy.
Mark’s key role is strategy and creative thinking, working on marketing direction for a diversity of clients within the Elan portfolio. This means Mark is extremely close and involved with the businesses, and looks to marginal gains as the key ingredient to build a strong and successful marketing direction. Improvements in all areas of marketing, and to take an aggressive and consistent approach that will build a brand, reputation and opportunity.
As Mark commonly states, having been a creative in the industry for over 30 years he has seen just about everything there is to see in marketing, but what really gets him excited is the results gained from the hard work he and the team put in.
So what interests Mark?
Apart from two teenage daughters that keep Mark very busy (especially the Dad’s taxi service), Mark can be found either gracing the local Walking Football fields with somewhat warn out soccer skills, or cycling like a lunatic around the roads of Essex. Mark is a very keen cyclist and much to the annoyance of his wife Karen, a very keen watcher and participant in all kinds of sports, notwithstanding a growing portfolio of vintage racing bikes that take up far too much space across the family home.
